When you plan your wedding, you have hundreds of choices and a limited amount of time. With the right help, planning your wedding is a joy. Your wedding ceremony can reflect who you really are. Everything at your wedding will be done your way -- but you don't have to be in charge.

You may use my 30+ years of experience planning, coordinating and performing non-denominational, inter-faith and non-religious wedding ceremonies to create a wedding ceremony that is right for you. I'm David L. Daniels, a Chaplain with Family Chaplains, Inc. As an ordained chaplain/minister, I work as a non-denominational Chaplain ministering to all faiths, including those who are not religious and those who are spiritual in their own way. When you want a more meaningful wedding ceremony than an Indiana Justice of the Peace or Judge can provide. One that is longer, more meaningful and tailored to your unique wishes, beliefs and values.

You may have selected a non-traditional wedding site in the Indianapolis or Central Indiana area, a spot which poses unique challenges.

You may have found an Indiana wedding chapel and then realized that a minister would be more appropriate than a Judge or Justice of the Peace.

If you choose my services, you will have a flexible, experienced minister who is comfortable with planning and officiating the entire wedding ceremony and can ensure that everything goes smoothly, no matter what your site or what kind of wedding you are planning.

First of all, your first meeting is free.

I serve as a "full-service" wedding minister, facilitating all elements of your wedding ceremony.

The wedding package includes everything, including coordinating with the musicians, working with the site manager and photographer, managing the ushers, organizing the parents and wedding party, conducting the rehearsal, as well as writing and re-writing the entire script of the ceremony.

The fee for this full-service officiating will be provided once we have shared initial contact information. The rehearsal is included, as is everything else. Every wedding ceremony is special and has its own set of unique requirements; so I put just as much time, effort and thought into a small, intimate ceremony as into any other. Thus the fee is always the same.

By the time your wedding arrives, you will be completely comfortable and eagerly anticipating your wedding ceremony. You will have many wonderful things to think about on your wedding day, but you won't have to be in charge of how it will go. You will be reassured and comfortable knowing that you will be thrilled with your wedding ceremony and that you will know exactly what to expect on your big day!

What kind of ceremony do you perform?
It's your day and I want to do it your way. I plan a unique ceremony for each couple, but generally it includes the following components. I will send you samples you can pick and choose from. I encourage couples to add their own ideas and feel free to take out parts of the ceremony that don't fit their personalities.

A typical ceremony includes: Greeting to Family and Friends, a Poem or Prayer, Preface to the Vows, Vows, Ring Ceremony, Wedding Blessing, Final Pronouncement.

Can I add a unique wedding tradition from my culture?
Absolutely! Here are just a few ideas: Unity Candle, Rose Ceremony, Sand Ceremony, 9 Sips of Sake, Family Medallion, A Wine Toast.

What do you wear?
I can wear my white robe, a business suit, or go casual with khaki pants and shirt. The choice is yours.

Why is your fee so low?
I try to provide couples with their dream ceremony, but I don't want them to break the bank. Save your money for the honeymoon! I write personalized ceremonies but keep my fee low by working with you over the phone during the planning stage. Before the big day, you will feel completely comfortable about the event.

At our meeting:
When we meet, we will go through all the elements of your wedding ceremony: vows, rings, readings, everything including recommendations for wedding vendors, suggestions for music, your family considerations, your wedding party choices, location characteristics and everything else involved in planning your special day.

Reserving my services:
Once we meet, you may reserve your date and time with a non-refundable deposit. Your deposit then applies toward the fee. Once you've reserved my services, I will get right to work on your ceremony scripting, writing up everything that we worked on at our meeting. The other part of the fee is due at the wedding rehearsal.

After we meet:
Within a week or two, you will receive the entire wedding ceremony scripting, written up from scratch for your review. Your scripting will be a clear, well-organized document, of the complete ceremony. This writing out of the scripting for your review is especially important and unique to my services. I undertake this effort so that you will always know exactly what to expect. With this complete script in hand, you will feel secure and confident knowing that your wedding ceremony is personalized and customized to reflect your beliefs, values and wishes.

Changes:
Once you receive your scripting, you can go through it at your leisure to make sure that everything is exactly how you want it. If there are changes in the coming months, just let me know and I will send you a newly revised scripting, so we're always on the same page.

Rehearsal:
By this point, you'll have the complete and final scripting, with any and all changes you requested and you will have the security of my conducting the wedding rehearsal so your wedding party, family and everyone else is completely comfortable and confident. I will take care of your Indiana marriage license administration so you can concentrate on more important things...like enjoying your big weekend.

Wedding day:
Now you'll be completely ready for your wedding! On your wedding day, I will arrive 30-45 minutes before the ceremony. You won't have to remember anything. It's just "repeat after me". You won't have to be in charge of anything; you can just say "Talk to Chaplain Dave". You can be completely in the moment, enjoying your big day.
